IMPROVING ACCESS AND QUALITY OF SERVICES
remains at the heart of the strategic direction of the NHS,
reflected in numerous policy documents and in structural
changes taking place locally to help ensure that we have
in place effective arrangements to both commission and
provide first class services to meet users disparate needs.

This year’s conference has been designed to reflect this theme and will
help delegates to get a greater insight and understanding of the
national imperatives and how this is being translated locally. We will
hear from speakers from the Department of Health, local NHS
organisations as well as front line practitioners in how they have made
(and continue to sustain) changes to their services. This year we will
also be hearing from practitioners on how to engage with users,
general practitioners and other key stakeholders in planning and
marketing your services.
