Delivering Support and Aspiration
27th September 2011 - Birmingham
A one day conference from the Children's and Young people's Team, NDTi
Aims of the conference
To share best practice in supporting children and young people with disabilities and other needs and their families to have high aspirations and to fulfil them.
With the publication of the Green Paper on SEN and Disability "Support and Aspiration", local authorities and their partners will be preparing to deliver the new education, health and care 0-25 plan.
This will need better cross agency working with a new emphasis on the quality of life for children and their families and equal life chance outcomes (employment, independent living and social inclusion) for young people as they move into adulthood.
At this event, we shared what we have learned about best practice through the work of the NDTi and also from the Getting a Life and Valuing People Programmes.
