These events were for people who have a lead within organisations for the development of best practice in transition for young people with learning disabilities. They were designed to support Learning Disability Partnership Boards to deliver on the Valuing People Now objective, that all young people with learning disabilities will have person-centred transition plans by 2012, and that the plans focus on health, employment, housing and friendships and community inclusion. The events also addressed the priorities set by the Transition Support Programme and were very relevant to people working to improve transition for the wider group of young people with SEN and disabilities.
